Spring is just around the corner, and Melbourne Park is set to come alive with the biggest live events this September.

Alex Warren and Noah Kahan, two of the world’s biggest acts, will take to the stage, while Rod Laver Arena will also host a special celebration of John Farnham.

The NFL is coming to Melbourne Park, with the precinct hosting the official NFL Kickoff Festival, before AFL Grand Final week festivities take over, including Dan Does Footy Live at Margaret Court Arena.

NFL at Melbourne Park

September’s NFL Melbourne Game is set to be one of the biggest sporting spectacles in the city’s history, and Melbourne Park will bring the festivities off the pitch with the NFL Kickoff Festival.

The three-day festival runs from Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 September, with live performances, Flag Football clinics, exhibits and an appearance from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Ground passes start from $49 for adults (with children under 13 free with an accompanying adult ticket) and on sale through Ticketmaster.

Peking Duk, Grinspoon and Sneaky Sound System lead a packed line-up of acts, alongside Hot Dub Time Machine, Public Figures and Sneaky Sound System, with more artists to be announced.

AFL Grand Final at Melbourne Park

Footy fever hits Melbourne Park this September, with Dan Does Footy Live taking over Margaret Court Arena on Thursday 24 September for the biggest live podcast event in Australian history.

Held on AFL Grand Final Public Holiday Eve, the event will feature special guests, player appearances and arena-scale production for one of the country’s most popular podcasts.

Concerts at Melbourne Park

Some of the world’s biggest acts will hit the stage at Melbourne Park this September.

Alex Warren returns just a year after his last appearance at Margaret Court Arena. The global chart-topping star brings his Finding Family on the Road World Tour to Rod Laver Arena for 3 shows from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September. With limited tickets remaining, don’t miss your chance to see him live.

Up next, German metal band Electric Callboy bring their TANZNEID World Tour to Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 8 September. Following their acclaimed 2024 Good Things Festival appearance, the band returns for their biggest Australian headline run yet, promising a theatrical and genre-defying live spectacle.

South Korean sibling duo AKMU make their Australia live debut at Margaret Court Arena on Friday 18 September. Fans can expect a carefully curated setlist spanning beloved classics and recent releases.

An epic celebration of Australian icon John Farnham follows, with more than 120 artists and musicians on stage for The Songs of John Farnham at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday 20 September. Headlined by Keith Urban and Richard Marx, with Celine Dion and Hugh Jackman via satellite, the event celebrates Farnham’s extraordinary legacy.

Jason Derulo also returns to Melbourne this month with The Last Dance World Tour set for Rod Laver Arena on Monday 21 September. The globally renowned hitmaker promises a high-energy show, with hits including “Talk Dirty”, “Wiggle”, “Swalla” and “Savage Love”.

John Cain Arena then hosts a busy run of shows, starting with K-pop girl group MAMAMOO performing in Melbourne for the very first time on Tuesday 22 September. Shinedown and Bush then team up for a co-headline performance on Friday 25 September, bringing 2 rock powerhouses together for one epic line-up. Rounding out the trio is The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert, with Howard Shore’s original score performed live alongside film across multiple nights from 30 September to 1 October.

Finally, Noah Kahan brings The Great Divide Tour to Rod Laver Arena for 4 massive from Friday 25 to Tuesday 29 September. Following his Stick Season breakthrough, Kahan performs his fourth studio album on tour after earning rave reviews abroad.

Sporting events at Melbourne Park

Basketball is the flavour of the month at Melbourne Park this September.

Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix return to John Cain Arena for the new NBL season, with United set to kick things off against the 36ers on Saturday 19 September, before Phoenix open their season at home with a Throwdown against United on Thursday 24 September.

The Throwdown sees United and Phoenix reignite their crosstown rivalry and battle for bragging rights. Held multiple times each season, this long-weekend edition – on AFL Grand Final Public Holiday Eve – is a highlight of the sporting calendar.
