The NFL Kickoff Festival presented by American Express is coming to Melbourne this September for a three-day fan event celebrating Australia’s first regular season NFL game.
The NFL Kickoff Festival will be an immersive American-style football takeover, bringing fans closer to the game both on and off the field during game week. The festivities will kick off on Thursday 10 September and run through to the evening of Saturday 12 September, as Melbourne Park transforms into the epicentre of NFL action.

NFL Melbourne Game
The NFL Melbourne Game will bring the excitement of American football to Melbourne for the first time, with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams set to face off at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday 11 September 2026. This historic matchup will showcase two of the league’s most recognisable franchises and deliver a world-class sporting experience for fans.
The game will be part of a week-long celebration of NFL football in Melbourne, with the NFL Kickoff Festival presented by American Express transforming Melbourne Park into an epicentre of fan experiences, entertainment and activations. From Flag Football clinics and NFL exhibits to live entertainment and fan activations, fans can experience the excitement of the NFL both on and off the field.
