Ticketing Frequently Asked Questions

This section applies to events held at Rod Laver Arena, Centrepiece, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena or AAMI Park.

How can I book tickets?

Tickets for all Melbourne Park events can currently be purchased through our authorised ticketing partner, Ticketek, except for Australian Open tickets, which must be purchased through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing provider for this event.

Be wary of purchasing tickets through unauthorised sellers, as there is no guarantee these tickets will be valid for entry into the event.

From 22 August 2026, tickets for year-round events at Melbourne Park, excluding the Australian Open, will be available through AXS.

What can go wrong if I purchase tickets from an unauthorised seller?

When purchasing tickets through unauthorised sellers or online marketplaces, there is no guarantee these tickets will be valid for entry into the event. Additionally, if the event is cancelled or postponed, you will not be able to access a refund or re-issued ticket.

You can lodge a complaint against an unauthorised seller to Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Your bank or credit card provider may also be able to assist.

What should I do if I don’t think my tickets are genuine?

If you think you have purchased tickets that are not genuine, you should immediately contact the person or website who sold them to you.  Unfortunately, it can be difficult to check the validity of a ticket without the original purchaser’s name and details.

You can lodge a complaint against an unauthorised seller to Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Your bank or credit card provider may also be able to assist.

How do I know where my seats are located?

Seating maps are available on the Ticketek website, and you can choose your seats before purchasing. Once you have purchased your tickets, your seating allocation cannot be changed.

How will my tickets be delivered?

Tickets purchased online through Ticketek are mobile-only and are delivered electronically to your device. For a smooth entry experience, download your tickets to your digital wallet before arriving at the venue.

For some events, tickets purchased through Ticketek will be issued by Melbourne Park’s new Official Ticketing Partner, AXS, closer to the event date. Your booking and seat allocation remain valid, and you will receive your ticket before the event.

Can I still purchase a ticket without a mobile phone?

Tickets can be purchased online or from a Ticketek agency. If you are unable to access your tickets via a mobile device, hard copy tickets can be issued at the venue box office with proof of purchase.

If an event is cancelled, am I eligible for a refund?

Yes. Guests can request a refund via Ticketek.

How can I safely and securely sell my tickets?

If you are unable to attend the event or need to sell your ticket, Ticketek Marketplace provides an easy and secure option.

How can I book accessible tickets?

Accessible seating must be pre-booked via Ticketek.

Simply click on the accessible filter for your event to view the accessible seating available. For more information, click here.

If this option is not available for your event, please contact Ticketek’s Accessible Bookings Hotline on (03) 9286 1208, or submit a request to be contacted here.

From 22 August 2026, accessible tickets can be booked through Melbourne Park’s new Official Ticketing Partner, AXS.

How can I make a group booking?

Group bookings can be made via the dedicated Ticketek hotline on 1300 364 001 or [email protected].  Group bookings are available for selected events and are subject to availability.

I bought my tickets from Ticketek, but they said tickets will be delivered later. Who will send them?

For some events, tickets purchased through Ticketek will be issued by Melbourne Park’s new Official Ticketing Partner, AXS, closer to the event date. Your booking and seat allocation remain valid, and you will receive your ticket before the event.

Why was my ticket delivery delayed?

Ticket delivery was intentionally delayed to support Melbourne Park’s transition to its new ticketing partner, AXS. This measure will help to ensure a seamless guest experience on event day. Your booking and seat allocation will be unaffected.

AXS Transition

What is AXS?

AXS is Melbourne Park’s new Official Ticketing Partner for year-round events outside the Australian Open, servicing iconic venues including Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena and AAMI Park from 22 August 2026.

AXS is a global leader in ticketing and live event technology, partnering with more than 1,600 leading sports and entertainment organisations.

Do I need to download the AXS app?

If you have already purchased a ticket to a Melbourne Park event, you may not need to download the AXS app for your upcoming event.

Some tickets purchased through Ticketek will be issued by AXS before the event. If your ticket is transferred to AXS, you will receive confirmation from AXS once your ticket is available to the email address used during the booking process. You will then be required to download the AXS app to access your ticket and gain entry to the event.

From 22 August 2026, tickets for Melbourne Park events will be purchased through AXS. Downloading the AXS app and creating an account now will help you be ready for future events.

Will my existing Ticketek account still work?

Yes. Creating an AXS account will not affect your existing Ticketek account or any tickets you have purchased through Ticketek.

Creating an AXS account now will help you be ready to purchase tickets for future Melbourne Park events from 22 August 2026.

If a ticket you have purchased through Ticketek is transferred to AXS, the transfer will be managed automatically by Ticketek and AXS and you will receive confirmation from AXS once your ticket is available.

I bought my tickets through Ticketek, but now they say AXS. Are they still valid?

Yes, your booking remains valid and your seat allocation will not be affected.

For some events, tickets purchased through Ticketek will be issued by AXS before the event. If this applies to your booking, you will receive confirmation from AXS once your tickets are available and will need to download the AXS app to access them.

Ticketek said my ticket delivery is delayed. When will I receive my ticket?

Ticket delivery has been intentionally delayed for selected events as part of Melbourne Park’s transition to AXS.

Your booking and seat allocation will not be affected, and you will receive your ticket from AXS before the event.

Is my accessible seat, Companion Card booking or accessible parking booking still valid?

Yes. Existing bookings and ticket entitlements for Melbourne Park events made through Ticketek, including accessible seating, Companion Card bookings and accessible parking, will remain valid.

From 22 August 2026, these bookings will be made through AXS.

I have a question about my ticket. Who should I contact?

For questions about a Ticketek purchase or current Ticketek events, please contact Ticketek.
